To create a realistic 3D products, there are two concepts involved. First is what’s called the CREATION PROCESS and second is the IMAGING PROCESS.
In simple words, first you have to make 3D components like models, scenes (environments) and textures. Then, once its done, you have full array of features you can do. Images, animations, 3D prints, product pack shots, 3D spinners, Virtual Reality productions and more. Creation must be done first before you proceed to Imaging but it stays done forever and can be repurposed and reused in an unlimited fashion.
